Becca Menon

Becca Menon

Writer, Translator, Editor

I write to awaken.

Dance and Classical Greek Theater determined the course of my work after I had been first, choreographer, then also composer and director for productions of Sophocles and Euripides in Ancient Greek. The encounter with myth expressed through kinetic rhythms set me writing poetry that uses form to tell significant stories.

On the other hand, years teaching pre-school children left their mark, too.

Known for her musical storytelling craft, Becca Menon is an American writer (b. 1958) whose works, often based in myth, fairy tale, folklore or Scripture have been hailed internationally in countries such as Iran, India, Iraq, Canada, the United Kingdom as well as in the United States.
